Scope
Inter­na­tional stan­dard EN 55015:2013 is applic­a­ble to:
  • all light­ing equip­ment intended to be used for light gen­er­a­tion and illu­mi­na­tion pur­poses and intended to be used with bat­ter­ies or con­nected to low volt­age mains network;
  • light­ing part of instal­la­tion or mul­ti­func­tional equip­ment if one of the main pur­poses of usage is illumination;
  • acces­sories that are usable only with light­ing equipment;
  • IR and UV radi­a­tion equipment;
  • score­boards, adver­tis­ing signs;
  • light­ing equip­ment intended to be used outdoors;
  • light­ing equip­ment intended to be used in busses and trains;

Clas­si­fi­ca­tion
Inter­na­tional stan­dard EN 55015:2013 have no clas­si­fi­ca­tion of equip­ment it cov­ers.
