Electromagnetic compatibility testing in EMC lab EN 6100033

EN 6100033:2008 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) — Part 33: Limits –Limitation of voltage changes, voltage fluctuations and flicker in public low-voltage supply systems, for equipment with rated current ≤ 16 A per phase and not subject to conditional connection (IEC 6100033:2008)

Scope
International standard EN 6100033:2008 is applicable to electrical and electronic equipment having an input current equal to or less than 16 A per phase, intended to be connected to public low-voltage distribution systems of between 220 V and 250 V line to neutral at 50 Hz, and not subject to conditional connection.

If equipment does not comply with the limits of EN 6100033:2008 when tested with the reference impedance Zref , that is defined in EN 6100033:2008 clause 6.4, can be tested according to EN 61000311 Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) — Part 311: Limits — Limitation of voltage changes, voltage fluctuations and flicker in public low-voltage supply systems; Equipment with rated current ≤ 75 A and subject to conditional connection.

Classification
International standard EN 6100033:2008 have no specific overall classification of equipment.

Examples
Usually problems are expected for equipment such as: heaters, water boilers, ovens, washing machines without electronic regulation of current consumption.

Requirements

Parameter Limit Conditions
Short-term flicker indicator Pst 1.0
Long-term flicker indicator Plt 0.65
Relative voltage change d(t) 3,3 % For more than 500ms
Relative steady-state voltage change dc 3,3 %
Maximum relative voltage change dmax 4% Without additional conditions
6% For equipment which is switched manually or switched automatically more frequently than twice per day
7% For equipment which is attended whilst in use (hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, mixers, lawn mowers, electric drills), or switched on automatically, or is intended to be switched on manually, no more than twice per day

EMC testing

RF EMC DEVELOPMENT provides accredited EMC testing to reach European market. We hold a long list of European standards for such industries as– household, industrial, automotive, medical, telecom, railway and aerospace. Our test laboratory is accredited by European notified bodies according to ISO17025. Save your time by trying to couple EMC testing with other tests and CE certification needs (safety, environmental, energy efficiency, performance).

Certification

Through our partners, notified bodies in European Union, RF EMC DEVELOPMENT provides certification services for manufacturers, retailers, distributors and suppliers to enter EU market. We provide all services to certificate your products in short time span– EMC testing, LVD testing, development for such products as: lighting equipment, automotive, consumer electronics, industrial electronic and machinery, medical equipment, telecommunications and woodworking equipment etc.
